New Section on the Blog!! "Week in Review"

 

Hello everyone! 

This is an introduction to a new section that will be appearing on my blog every Friday called "Week in Review."

To celebrate the 1st birthday of "Rachelle Hodgins Photography," I have decided to create a special section in my blog. I hope this section will help you to get to know me better and be a lot of fun as well. 

This section will be a great way for me to share some photo related things as well as some personal things in a casual/fun way. I hope it can be of some interest to other photographers as well.

Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think and what you might like to see featured here! I love feedback!

Kyle Novice Hockey Tournament

2012 is starting out great! I had a couple of weeks at the start of this month to get caught up and to start getting things ready for this year. I am ready to take on 2012!
This past weekend I was asked to take photos at the Kyle Novice Hockey Tournament. I had a great time catching all the action from the end of the home bench. It was a great tournament and very entertaining!

Goodbye 2011! Hello 2012!

I feel so blessed, happy and hopeful! 2011 was such a great year.
I officially launched my photography business in February and I am so overwhelmed by all the support and by everything I have learned and accomplished so far.

I am currently coming up with a list of new goals for myself and my business for 2012. I am really looking forward to everything 2012 will bring.

Make sure to check the blog/facebook/website for new and exciting updates! One of my goals is to blog more often and to become more connected with the photography community and with my clients so I am looking forward to hearing from you! Comments and questions are always welcome!

Sneak Peek: Engagement Shoot {Kyle Engagement Photographer}

 This engagement shoot was the last photo shoot of 2011! What a great way to finish a great year! It is hard to believe these shots were taken on boxing day. We had to really search for some snow and the wind was so crazy we had to search for shelter as well. These two are awesome and I can not be more happy for them. I am really looking forward to shooting their wedding and also being a bridesmaid as well!  Enjoy their sneak peek!

 

 

 

Sneak Peek: Portrait Shoot {Saskatoon Portrait Photographer}

This was such a fun shoot. We toured around Saskatoon looking for some prime photo shoot spots. The wind was pretty bad but to be able to shoot outside with only a fall jacket on in December made up for it! She has her convocation from the U of S this coming spring so it was great to take some shots at the University and check out all the new renovations that have finished since I left.

Sneak Peek: Family Shoot {Elrose Family Photographer}

This was such a fun shoot. I hadn't done an indoor shoot in a long time and it was great to get out of the cold. I had a great morning of taking photos, visiting and meeting my newest "Clearwater Lake Neighbor!" The boys were so good and the baby was wide awake for most of the shoot. Here is a sneak peek. The original plan was for winter photos but the weather had other plans and melted most of the snow before the day of the shoot. Thankfully we found lots of snow at the lake! Here is a sneak peek from their shoot!
