Sneak Peek: Celebrating Rural Women Night {Elrose Event Photography}

  I had a great time earlier this week taking photos at the "Celebrating Rural Women" night in Elrose. It was a great opportunity to celebrate all the women that make up our awesome rural communities. The decorations, food and speaker were awesome and I think everyone really enjoyed the evening.
  The women who organized this did an amazing job!

Some photo booth fun!

Week in Review: Goodbye Orange Elevator

    It seemed pretty weird driving home to Kyle this week and not seeing the big orange elevator in the distance. They decided to tear it down this week and it sure has changed the skyline of the town.
    In my 2nd year University Photography class I took some photos of the Elevator in it's last days of operation for a documentary project. I thought I would share some of them with you.

    On another note, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that you get to spend it with all the important people in your life!

Week in Review: Spruce Meadows and 100th Blog Post!

  This is the 100th post on my blog and to celebrate I thought I would share some of the photos I took this past weekend at the Spruce Meadows Masters! I love going to The Masters. There are so many things to see and do: the celebration of different cultures, the Queen's jubilee, great entertainment, shopping and of course, the horses!
 This year we went on Sunday and watched the CN International along with a tribute to Hickstead. Last year we watched Eric Lamaze and Hickstead win this event and this year we payed tribute to one of the greatest show jumping horses of all time.
  We had a great time and enjoyed the nice weather and the shopping!
   Enjoy!

Frontier Days 2012 {Swift Current Documentary Photographer}

   This year I was asked to be the photographer at Frontier Days 2012 in Swift Current! I showed my horses in their Open and 4-H shows for 7 years back when I was in 4-H so when they asked me to take photos I was so excited to be involved again!
   In between all the livestock shows I took candids of the midway, horse shows, trade show, rodeo and entertainment. I hope you all had a chance to check it out and if you didn't I very much recommend you check it out next year!  Everyone did a great job organizing the fair. I had a great time!
   Here are some candids from the weekend.

If you are interested in purchasing photos from any of the livestock shows you can do so here:
