Week in Review: Share the Love! Last Week in Review.

  Hello Everyone! 

  First of all: I hope everyone had a great week and a great Valentines day. We celebrated Valentines Day a day early and had supper with friends!   

  Second of all: The "Week in Review" section on my blog is now a year old. I have had a great time posting these for you every week and keeping you updated on little pieces of my life/business. I have decided to retire this section of my blog after this post. I will still post random photos and informative posts every once in awhile to keep you updated. Thanks for reading these posts over the past year!

Week in Review: Cold Snap!

     Hello everyone! This week has been pretty quiet around here. The sudden change in weather has mostly kept me inside to catch up on some business related things and to prepare for my photo shoots this weekend. I did have to run into the city to do some errands and let me tell you, when it's -35 outside all the stores are pretty quiet! 

   I think we are coming out of this cold snap now and are supposed to have warmer weather for the weekend! Have a good one!

Week in Review: Catch Up Week!

    This week was a catch-up week for me. I had time between shoots to catch up on editing, back up my computer and design/order new business material! I also spent some time learning new things and participating in a mentoring session online. It is great to use these colder weeks to catch up on all the things that get put on the back-burner in the warmer months.

  I hope you are all staying warm this week. Hot drinks are a must for me on these cold days.

Week in Review: New Year!

  It's hard to believe another year has passed us by. I hope all of you had a great year and if it wasn't the greatest I hope that 2013 is good to you!
  I am getting back into the groove after a couple weeks break and I am so excited for all the great shoots 2013 holds! I will have some new "Sneak Peek's" up shortly!

Week in Review: Sleigh Rides!

  

  I hope you all had a great Christmas and got to spend it with the ones you love! 

  Today we went to my Uncle's farm and had a great time outside in the snow going for sleigh rides behind his team! It was pretty cold but all the frost and blue sky looked awesome! Here are a few shots from the day:

Week in Review: Enjoying the Season!

   Another week has flown by and we are getting closer and closer to Christmas! It always seems like this time of year goes by so fast.
   This week I have been busy with Alphabet orders, editing and christmas shopping. I like to get all caught up so that I can take the time to appreciate the season before it's over.
    I hope you are all enjoying this time of year and take the time to enjoy and appreciate what is important in your lives!

Week in Review: Christmas Decorating!

  This time of year always seems to be very busy. I love the month of December and the days leading up to Christmas!  I especially love decorating the house! This year we decided to go out and buy a real tree. We had a great time picking it out, setting it up and decorating it. I am not so excited about all the watering and pine needles on the floor but the smell definitely makes up for it! Now we just need to finish decorating it and add a few more lights!

Week in Review: Remember

   I am so thankful to live in a country with so many opportunities and the freedom to pursue them. I am also thankful that I grew up in a place where Remembrance Day was always acknowledged and respected.
   This weekend I am taking the time to remember why I can live free in such a great country and to live the life I want to live. Thank you to all those who have made this possible. I Remember.

Week in Review: Pumpkin Carving!

   Another month has flown by. October was a great month and I am looking forward to November and the transition into winter and the holiday season! 

   This past week we celebrated Halloween by carving a pumpkin. This year we decided to do the "Avengers" symbol. We couldn't get one of the triangles cut out so it looks a little different but I think it turned out pretty good.

Week in Review: Snow!

  Just a warning, I'm about to state the obvious. It snowed this week.....a lot! It has stuck around all week and it looks like winter shoots will be starting to take over fall shoots as most of the leaves have now fallen off due to all the wind and cold. I am not a huge winter fan but I do love living in a place that experiences the 4 different seasons!
  It was great to wake up today and see the sun shining! Happy Friday!

Week in Review: Calgary Photo Shoots

  I had such a great long weekend taking photos in Calgary. It was great to catch up with friends I haven't seen in awhile, spend time with family and to shoot in some new and beautiful locations! I loved taking in the scenery at Lake Bonavista, Fish Creek Park and a beautiful ranch west of the city. I am excited to start working on the photos!

Week in Review: On the Road Again!

   First off I would just like to say that I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving this past weekend! There is so much to be thankful for and I am happy to have spent the weekend taking photos and spending time with family and friends.
   On a different note, I have been doing a lot of driving this summer/fall for photo shoots. My car has not only been my mode of transportation but also my mobile office. I am pretty sure I have worn a trail in the number 4 highway this year.
   This weekend I am off to Calgary for some photo shoots! I am excited to see friends I haven't seen in awhile and to shoot in some different locations. If you are in the Calgary area and are interested in a photo shoot this weekend please feel free to contact me!

Week in Review: Transition into Fall

     Fall has almost officially been here for a week and even though the weather has been more like summer the past few days you can definitely feel and see the change of season.
     Fall was never my favourite season but I am starting to like it more and more and now I am excited that it is here. I love all the colours, the change in fashion, the food, and especially the golden light in the evenings. I also love the transitions the season brings:

Week in Review: Walking, Walking and More Walking

 This past week has been a busy one! Lot's of photo shoots, a wedding and working on getting caught up on editing. My horses also got worked on this week, while they are on rest, I am having to hand-walk them multiple times a day to keep things in place and to loosen their sore muscles. It is a great break in-between editing and I am really enjoying the nice weather and the break for my eyes. I hope everyone is enjoying the last official days of summer!

Week in Review: Spruce Meadows and 100th Blog Post!

  This is the 100th post on my blog and to celebrate I thought I would share some of the photos I took this past weekend at the Spruce Meadows Masters! I love going to The Masters. There are so many things to see and do: the celebration of different cultures, the Queen's jubilee, great entertainment, shopping and of course, the horses!
 This year we went on Sunday and watched the CN International along with a tribute to Hickstead. Last year we watched Eric Lamaze and Hickstead win this event and this year we payed tribute to one of the greatest show jumping horses of all time.
  We had a great time and enjoyed the nice weather and the shopping!

Week in Review: Changing Colours

   September is here, harvest is over and lake season is quickly coming to an end. Even though it is still technically summer it always feels like as soon as harvest ends and the kids are back in school that it is fall. The weather has been cooler and the hotter days don't bring the same kind of heat that you get in the summer.
   This time of year is always bittersweet for me. I am sad to see summer go, but I do look forward to all that fall brings. Getting back into a routine, fall photo shoots and all the beautiful fall colours are something I look forward to. I hope you are all enjoying this change in the weather and change in the scenery.
