Week in Review: A Different Type of Harvest

   Last week I posted about harvest out in the fields and this week I wanted to talk a bit about harvest in the gardens! This is definitely one of my favourite things that happen this time of year. I love all the fresh vegetables and fruits plucked right from the garden and put right on my plate!
   This year mom and I took advantage of all the new vegetables and made a bunch of freezer meals to eat this fall. I also got my hands on some new apples and decided to make "apple chips" in my dehydrator. Since I totally forgot to take photos of our freezer meals here are some of the apples:

Week in Review: The Middle of Harvest

   We are well into harvest now around here which is great but at the same time hasn't given me a whole lot of time to work on photos. We have had such great harvest weather and today has been the first cold day in a long time. I hope all of you are having a successful and safe harvest! Here are a few iPhone shots of my view for the past while. I was hoping to take my camera out one of these days to get some better shots but harvest doesn't exactly pause for a "photo opp" so these will have to do for now!

 Happy Harvest!

Sneak Peek: Wedding Shoot {Kyle Wedding Photographer}

   My cousin got married this summer and I was so excited to take photos of their day! They had a beautiful wedding on the farm followed by a reception and dance in town with family and friends. It was a cloudy day and rained during the ceremony but the rain stopped just in time to take photos.
   Congratulations and thank you for asking me to capture your day! I hope you like your sneak peek!

Sneak Peek: Multi-Family Shoot {Clearwater Lake Family Photographer}

   Life is good at the lake and I love taking photos there! I had a great time taking photos of this family the other day. The kids are so fun to photograph and not only did they give me some great smiles and poses they also offered me supper and a golf cart ride! Here is a little sneak peek from their shoot. Thanks again!

Week in Review: Baby Birds!

  So far the first week of August has been pretty good. Things have slowed down for a bit which has given me time to work on editing and get somewhat caught up. We also started harvest this week which  means I will be spending more time at the farm.
  On a different note, the nighthawk's eggs have hatched! I took my camera out and took a couple pics of the fluffy little guys. If you didn't know where to look you would probably not even notice them, they blend in so well and are so tiny! We also have a Robin's nest right above our deck at the lake. She is constantly flying back and forth to feed them and it's kind of neat to watch!
   I hope everyone has a great week and if you have started harvest I hope you have a safe and successful one!

 Another beautiful sunny day for photos. These two celebrated their 50th anniversary with their family last weekend. I had a great time taking their photos in town and on their family farm. There was even yummy fresh raspberries to pick, and I know from experience that grandma's farm raspberries are always the best!
 I hope you enjoy your sneak peek! Thanks for having me!

 July was a great month! Lot's of weddings, photo shoots and time spent with family at the lake. I am looking forward to what August holds in store.
  Today is quite cold and rainy and a good day to sit inside with a hot coffee and get some editing done.  I hope you all had a great July and have an even greater August.

  Here are a couple photos of a mother Nighthawk and her eggs taken on the Clearwater Lake golf course the other day.
