Sneak Peek: Family Shoot {Sask Landing Family Photographer}

  This shoot was on another hot and very sunny day. They chose to do their shoot at Sask Landing's Main Beach where we found some shade and found some flowers and water to play in! This crew was very easy to photograph and I had a great time taking their photos. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!

Week in Review: Sask Landing Walleye Tournament

   This past weekend was the Sask Landing Walleye Tournament. I have a few family members that participate each year and it is exciting to see what they have caught at the end of the day. There are also a lot of locals entered in this tournament as well!
   They had two very hot days and saw a lot of big fish caught! The volunteers, workers and fishermen did an awesome job to put on another successful Walleye Tournament!

 Some dedicated fish revivers!

Week in Review: Camera Dragging Backgrounds!

       It started as me wanting a new desktop background for my computer. Since I was tired of all the default backgrounds I decided to make my own using the camera dragging technique.
      Camera Dragging is when you set your camera's shutter speed very slow and at the same time you press the shutter to take the photo you quickly drag your camera across your subject to create an abstract looking photograph.
     It is quite fun to play around with. You can get different effects by changing the speed and direction of the way you drag your camera, different subject matter and the length of your shutter speed.
     I took these photos of my mom's flowers at the lake. I think some of them look like paintings and I now use one as my desktop background!
    Try it out sometime and see what kinds of abstract photos you can come up with.

Sneak Peek: Grad Shoot {Swift Current Grad Photographer}

   I had a great afternoon taking this grad's photos in Swift Current! Swift Current Grad day was so windy but thankfully we found some spots that were somewhat sheltered from the worst of it. We took some in their friend's yard, Doc's town, the train tracks and at their place. Despite the wind it was a great day and everyone looked great! Congratulations!

Frontier Days 2012 {Swift Current Documentary Photographer}

   This year I was asked to be the photographer at Frontier Days 2012 in Swift Current! I showed my horses in their Open and 4-H shows for 7 years back when I was in 4-H so when they asked me to take photos I was so excited to be involved again!
   In between all the livestock shows I took candids of the midway, horse shows, trade show, rodeo and entertainment. I hope you all had a chance to check it out and if you didn't I very much recommend you check it out next year!  Everyone did a great job organizing the fair. I had a great time!
   Here are some candids from the weekend.

If you are interested in purchasing photos from any of the livestock shows you can do so here:
