Sneak Peek: Grad Shoot {Kyle Grad Photographer}

Yesterday was Kyle Grad Day. The weather was pretty hot and a bit windy so it was nice to find some shady areas to take some pics.
Everyone looked great and I really enjoyed taking these girl's outdoor casual grad photos. They both looked awesome and were really fun to shoot.
Here is a couple photos from each of their shoots! Congratulations girls!

Summer Props and Pins!

IT'S SUMMER!!

Over the Spring I have been busy gathering props and finding new ideas for displaying pictures. I have collected a number of old suitcases and picture frames which I have been having fun altering and experimenting with. I have also been searching Pinterest (an addiction of mine) for DIY projects for displaying pictures. One of the ideas I found was creating your own magnetic pins using: paper, magnets and wooden clothespins. I have spent the last couple evenings making these pins and I am loving how colourful and "summery" they turned out!

I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather!!

RCMP Musical Ride {Biggar Documentary Photographer}

Tonight was the RCMP Musical Ride in Biggar.
They had a great night for it...beautiful weather, big crowd, great friends and cotton candy (a weakness of mine.)
This was their last show in Western Canada before they headed back East. It was great to see the show again and it still amazes me how they perform all those maneuvers with that many horses. I remember back in 4-H doing musical rides so I really appreciate how awesome those horses and riders are! It was also quite neat having them stabled across the street in the rink with all their big trucks and buses.
Great Evening!!! Wishing them safe travels back East.

Matador Pasture

The other day I took a little ride out into the Matador community pasture behind our farm. The trees out there are so beautiful and green right now so I couldn't resist taking some pictures. A momma hawk was not too pleased with me photographing her home. Since hawks have tried to attack me before I took a few quick pictures and then got out of there. I am not sure what the purple flowers are called but I thought they were pretty. For the people who know wild flowers - they were very small and growing on the ground in the native grass.
